AI Learning and Workflow Enablement
Overview
I use AI in two connected ways: as a subject of education and as a practical tool for improving education operations. My work includes designing internal AI learning programs, building AI-assisted workflows for content and documentation, and helping teams apply AI tools to everyday work with better structure and judgment.
This page combines newer IMPLAN work with earlier Aptech workflows that used custom GPTs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted automation to improve documentation, content development, code examples, and support resources.
Internal AI Learning Program
At IMPLAN, I designed an AI in the Workplace learning program to help employees understand how AI tools can support daily work. The program is designed around practical use cases rather than abstract discussion.
Example program themes include:
- Writing and editing support
- Research and synthesis
- Customer support workflows
- Content development
- Data and survey analysis
- Workflow automation
- Responsible use and review practices
- Human judgment, validation, and quality control
AI-Assisted Education and Documentation Workflows
At Aptech, I developed and applied AI workflows that improved the speed and consistency of technical content development.
Representative workflows included:
- Custom GPT workflow for drafting technical documentation from source code
- AI-assisted outlines and drafts for tutorials and announcements
- Internal-link suggestions based on topic and keyword analysis
- Markdown and HTML conversion workflows
- Prompt engineering for code examples and modeling templates
- AI-assisted repurposing of technical content across docs, blogs, and training materials
Operating Principles
- AI should reduce bottlenecks without reducing quality.
- AI-generated work should be reviewed, tested, and adapted by knowledgeable humans.
- Training should focus on real work people already need to do.
- Good AI education includes limits, risks, review practices, and appropriate use.
- The goal is not novelty; the goal is better work, clearer decisions, and more capable teams.
