GAUSS Online Documentation Hub
Overview
I managed and maintained the GAUSS Online Documentation Hub, the primary resource for GAUSS technical reference material and how-to content.
As part of a major modernization effort, I helped move GAUSS documentation from static PDF-style manuals to a searchable, online-first documentation system. The updated system emphasized practical examples, clearer structure, better self-service, and stronger integration with tutorials, product releases, and support workflows.
Key Contributions
- Migrated documentation into a searchable online format.
- Added usage-focused examples for key procedures and workflows.
- Improved self-service resources to reduce avoidable support load.
- Maintained consistent style, structure, and clarity across technical content.
- Connected documentation with blog tutorials, code examples, and product education.
- Developed a custom GPT workflow to generate first-draft documentation from source code.
AI-Assisted Documentation Workflow
I developed a custom GPT-based workflow that helped transform GAUSS source code into first-draft documentation. The goal was not to replace expert review, but to reduce manual drafting time, improve consistency, and allow technical reviewers to focus more on accuracy, examples, and user guidance.
Why It Mattered
The documentation hub improved the user experience for GAUSS customers and created a stronger foundation for onboarding, product launches, support deflection, and technical education. It also established a more maintainable content system for a complex analytical software product.
